De-stare Potion / Poción de Desmirar

In the kitchen of Owl Wood Manse, stealthily and under cover of darkness, varied and peregrine ingredients are being poured into a cauldron in the hope that one or another might fuel a potion that will counter the Gorgon´s stare.

En la cocina de la casa del bosque de los búhos, con nocturnidad y gran sigilo se están echando a un caldero ingredientes variopintos y peregrinos con la esperanza de que alguno de ellos de vida a una poción que pueda anular los efectos de la mirada de la Gorgona.   

  

Mrs. di Lembo / La Señora del Limbo

Blood from the right side of the Gorgon brings the dead back to life. Blood from the left side is a deadly poison. I would grind this bit of coral from my aquarium into powder and pour that into the brew, but from which side was the blood that hardened into this bit of coral? I´ll cast the powder in anyway. They can't become any deader than they are. 

La sangre del costado derecho de la gorgona resucita a los muertos. La sangre del costado izquierdo es un veneno mortífero. Yo molería este trocito de coral de mi acuario y echaría el polvo en la pócima, pero de qué lado sería la sangre que se ha convertido en este trozo de coral? Lo echaré de todas formas. No pueden estar más muertos.

Cow´s parsley, dock and waterlily. These three plants have been used by old wives to free mortals who have become paralyzed after an unfortunate encounter with fairies. Magic is magic. This could serve our purpose.

Perejil de vaca, acedera y nenúfar. Estas tres plantas han sido utilizadas por curanderas para liberar a mortales que han quedado paralizados tras un desafortunado encuentro con las hadas. La magia es la magia. Esto podría servir a nuestro propósito.

I think we should put in something that each of the Gorgon´s victims would like. It might make them want to come back to life. I have picked out a little something for everybody here, like whisky for Fergus MacLob and the other hard drinkers, sugar and spice for Heather and Thistle,  imperial violets for Titania and a blueberry slushy for my husband Ty. He has one every morning. Etc.

Yo creo que debemos poner algo que cada una de las víctimas de la Gorgona aprecia. Estas cosas podrían hacer que quisieran volver a la vida. He elegido whisky para estimular a Fergus MacLob y los otros grandes bebedores, azúcar y especias para Cardo y Brezo, violetas imperiales para Titania y un granizado de arándanos azules para mi marido Tay. Él toma uno todas las mañanas. Etc.

No me preguntéis por qué, pero tengo una corazonada y creo que lo que hace falta es líquido anticongelante para aviones.
