I´ve never been to a karaoke before. I´m not sure it’s a good idea for me to be seen here. I confess I feel like I should be wearing dark glasses like those on the sun in the headboard. I’m really a terribly shy person. Well, you said you had something so important to tell me that it would be worth my while to show up here. What is it?

Jamás he estado en un karaoke antes. No estoy seguro de que sea buena idea dejarme ver aquí. Confieso que ahora mismo me gustaría llevar puestas unas gafas oscuras como las del sol del cartel de la entrada. En verdad soy una persona muy tímida. Bueno, dijisteis que teníais algo tan importante que decirme que me merecería la pena aparecer por aquí. ¿Qué es?

The Magi left your Christmas gift under our tree next to our shoes because they didn’t have your address. You weren’t on their list ever before and they misplaced the envelope of the letter you sent them what with all the stress they had with the blank check affair.

Los magos dejaron su regalo de reyes bajo el árbol de navidad junto a nuestros zapatos porque no tenían su dirección. Usted nunca había estado en su lista antes y traspapelaron el sobre de la carta que les envió usted con todo el estrés que tenían con el asunto del cheque en blanco.

You are saying the Magi got my letter and left me a gift care of you? But…when was that? February is coming to its close.

Estais diciendo que los magos recibieron mi carta y me han dejado un regalo a vuestra atención? ¿Pero cuando ha sido eso? Estamos a finales de febrero.

Well, the gift the Magi left us was to spend the winter in Hawaii. Haven’t you noticed our gorgeous tans? But now we are back and ready to get down to business.

Bueno, el regalo que los reyes magos nos dejaron a nosotros ha sido pasar el invierno en Hawaii. ¿Se ha fijado en lo morenísimos que estamos? Pero ahora hemos vuelto y estamos listos para hacer negocios.

I can’t believe this. The Magi listened to me and actually left me a blank check?

No me lo puedo creer. Los reyes magos me han escuchado y me han regalado un cheque en blanco?

Well, man, it´s not exactly that, but this gift will serve your purpose. They’ve left you a phone number. Mrs. Parry’s, to be precise.

Hombre, no es precisamente eso, pero este regalo servirá a sus propósitos. Le han dejado un número de teléfono. Concretamente, el de la Sra. Parry.

But I already have that madwoman’s phone number. Oh. I didn’t mean to say that. I meant to say that grand old lady’s number. You see, she happens to be my grandfather’s great aunt and I know her very well. Of course, there is no fairy she isn´t related to.

Pero si el número de esa loca ya lo tengo. Uy, no he querido decir eso. De esa gran dama, he querido decir. Veréis, es que ella es tía abuela de mi abuelo paterno, y la conozco muy bien.En realidad, no hay hada con la que no esté emparentada.

Explain how useful it will be to her to cooperate with you in controlling what is to come. By the way, when you see Oberon, tell him not to worry about his new daughter. She’s a true blue fairy and will grow up to make him and Titania very proud of her. And now, the owner of this place, who happens to be me,  would love to have you honour us with a song.
