Future Simple


El futuro simple es el que se forma con will.
Ex. I will go home tomorrow. / Yo me iré a casa mañana.

La negativa del futuro simple se hace con will not o won’t.

Ex. I won't go home tomorrow. / Yo no me iré a casa mañana.

El future simple se usa para predicciones, horarios y decisiones espontaneas.

Predictions / Predicciones
Ex.You will meet a tall, dark and handsome man.
Conocerás a un hombre guapo, alto y moreno.
Hay muchas clases distintas de predicciones.
Algunas, por ejemplo, son como deseos.
Ex.I will own a yacht someday.
Algún día tendré un yate.
Otras predicciones son como advertencias.
Ex.You're too tired to drive. You will have an accident.
Estás demasiado cansado para conducir. Tendrás un accidente.

Timetables / Horarios
Ex. The football game will begin at six o´clock.
El partido de football comenzará a las seis en punto.

Spontaneous decisions / Decisiones espontaneas
Ex.There is no coffee left. I will drink tea.
No queda café. Beberé té.

Las Yes / No questions (preguntas que se contestan con sí o con no) se hacen con esta formula:
Will + sujeto + verbo + resto +?
Ex.Will + you + have + dinner now+?

Las Wh- questions (preguntas con palabra pregunta) se hacen con la misma fórmula que las otras, pero van encabezadas por la palabra pregunta:
Palabra pregunta + will + sujeto + verbo + resto +?
Ex. Where + will+ you + go + tonight+?
¿Dónde irás esta noche?
Recordad que si se pregunta por el sujeto, la cosa cambia un poco. Como no sabemos cuál es el sujeto, no lo podemos poner. La pregunta sigue la misma fórmula, pero sin sujeto:
Who (palabra pregunta) + will + verbo principal + resto +?
Ex. Who + will + open + the door+?
¿Quién abrirá la puerta?
Ojo también con algunas preguntas con “What.” Si no sabemos el verbo, se pone “do” en su lugar en la pregunta.
Ex.There isn't any food in the kitchen. What will we do?
We will call Telepizza.
No hay comida en la cocina. ¿Qué haremos nosotros?
Nosotros llamaremos a Telepizza.

Haz preguntas para estas respuestas. En los ejercicios de abajo, lo subrayado es la respuesta que no puede aparecer en la pregunta porque es el dato que desconocemos y por el que estamos preguntando.

Ojo: para la última pregunta, en la que tiene que figurar money. Hay que usar “with /con.”
