Present Perfect / Presente Perfecto

Para Repasar El Present Perfect:

Se forma el presente perfecto con has / have y el participio.

0. Jane has washed all the clothes.

1. Peter _________ __________ (eat ) all the food in the fridge.

3. They __________ __________ (open) all the windows.

4. She __________ ___________ (visit) us several times.

Se forma la negativa con hasn´t /haven´t y el participio.

0. Peter hasn't sent invitations to his party.

1. We                                     (not see) Edward since last Saturday.

2. You ___________________ (not study) for the exam.

3. Lily __________________ (not grow) all those vegetables in her orchard.

4. I ______________________ (not fogot) your name.

Para la interrogativa, usa estas formulas: (recuerda, el verbo principal siempre en participio)

Yes / No Questions:
Has + Rachel + grown + those vegetables + ?

Verbo auxiliar + sujeto + verbo principal + resto ?

Si preguntas por el sujeto:

Who + has + made + this bed?

Palabra pregunta + verbo auxiliar + verbo principal + resto ?

Ojo con esta última, porque aunque la respuesta es plural se suele preguntar en singular.

Si preguntas por el verbo principal:
What +has/have +subject + done (sustituto del verbo principal desconocido)+?
Eje. What have the children done?
They have broken a window.

Ojo con las preguntas en las que alguien o algo le hace algo a otro alguien o algo.
Examples: What have the neighbours done to their house?
¿Qué le han hecho los vecinos a su casa?
The neighbors have painted their house green.
Los vecinos la han pintado de verde.
Ese to de la pregunta no está en la respuesta.
What have you done to your hair?
¿Que le has hecho a tu pelo? (Qué te has hecho en el pelo?)
I have dyed my hair pink.
Me he teñido el pelo de rosa.
What have you done with the money?
¿Qué has hecho con el dinero?
I put it in the bank.
Lo he metido en el banco.
El with de la pregunta támpoco está en la respuesta.

Usos del Presente Perfecto:

Acción que empezó en el pasado y sigue en el presente.

Beth has lived in Madrid since 1999.

Acción que sucedió en un tiempo indeterminado en el pasado pero es importante en el presente.

You needn´t cook. I have just had breakfast.

¿Presente Perfecto o Pasado simple?

1. We can leave. I (finished / have finished) my work.

2. Fifty years ago, my grandfather (asked / has asked) my grandmother to marry him.

3. We (always grew / have always grown) tulips in our garden. Aren´t these red ones pretty?

4. Columbus(discovered / has discovered) America centuries ago. I´m not sure in what year.

5. Who (broke / has broken) my computer? I need to do my homework! What will I do now?

6. Where (were you / have you been)? It´s very late! You should have returned home two hours ago.

7. We (owned / have owned) this house since our first child was born.

8. She (waited /has waited) out there for hours. Then she got up and left.

9. Priscilla (won / has won) an Oscar in 2005.

10. We (never saw / have never seen) Fred. We don´t know what he looks like.

AHORA UNAS CUANTAS PALABRAS ÚTILES:

Ever – para preguntar si alguna vez… Have you ever seen a pink elephant? Alguna vez has visto un elefante rosa. (va entre los dos verbos pero detrás del sujeto).

Never - nunca - I have never seen a Martian. Nunca he visto un marciano. (never va entre los dos verbos)

For – durante – el tiempo no es muy concreto.
I have been waiting for you for hours. Te he estado esperando durante horas. (no sabemos que horas)

I have lived here for years. He vivido aquí durante años.
She has been married to Bob for a long time. Ha estado casada con Roberto durante mucho tiempo.

For how long have you lived here? ¿Cuanto tiempo has vivido aquí?
How long have you lived here (for)? (Al final mejor no ponerlo aunque se puede hacer)

Since – Desde – va con tiempo bastante concreto, fecha fija.

I have been waiting for you since seven o´clock in the morning.
Te he estado esperando desde las siete de la mañana.

Have you been here since eight o'clock? ¿Has estado aquí desde las ocho?
Since when have you been here? ¿Desde cuando estás aquí?

Just – Acabar de I have just finished the book. Acabo de terminar el libro.
We have just phoned Fred. Acabamos de llamar a Fede. (entre los dos verbos)

Has he just finished? ¿Acaba de terminar? (entre sujeto y verbo en las interrogativas)

Who has just left? ¿Quién acaba de irse? (entre los dos verbos si se pregunta por el sujeto)

Already - Ya I have already eaten. Ya he comido. She has already finished the painting. Ella ya ha terminado el cuadro. (entre los dos verbos)

Have you already eaten? ¿Has comido ya? ( entre sujeto y verbo principal)

Who has already eaten? ¿Quién ha comido ya? (entre los dos verbos si se pregunta por el sujeto)
Yet - Aún, todavía  Has she arrived yet? ¿Ha llegado ya? (Aquí lo traduciríamos por "ya") No, no ha llegado aún. No, she hasn´t arrived yet. (Se suele usar con negativa o interrogativa y se pone al final)
She has yet to arrive. (Ella aún tiene que llegar. Que no sabemos si va a hacerlo.Existe duda. Este uso es menos frecuente)
Ago - Hace No suele ir con el present perfect, sino con el pasado simple pero como algunos preguntaron por esta palabra en clase, pues funciona así:  He finished the book an hour ago. Él acabo el libro hace una hora. I married Fred three years ago. Me casé con Fede hace tres años. (ago siempre al final)

Did you buy that car eight years ago? ¿Te compraste ese coche hace ocho años? (¿Lo ves? Siempre al final. Pero no es present perfect el tense del verbo)

Three years ago, I found a treasure in the mountains. Hace tres años encontré un tesoro en las montañas. (Vale, se puede poner al principio, pero ante la duda, pásalo al territorio del resto, o sea, al final)

Escribe estas oraciones en ingles:

2. ¿Alguna vez has escrito un poema?

3. Rita acaba de limpiar tu habitación. Di gracias.

11. Hace seis años que no he visto a mis padres. (se hace con "for," o con "in," pero no con "ago")
