Oh, come on, Mildew. Be a sport. Basiliska wanted to hold the auction in the library´s assembly hall to make it more formal but I had to forbid her to, because I can´t allow anyone inside this building. I don´t even want anyone in the garden, so she´s going to have to hold the auction in the parking lot on the other side of the fence I built. She´s asked me for a pretty signboard with something elegant and appropriate written on it, preferably in Latin, and I don´t want to disappoint her. Anyway, I´m going to let you go as soon as the auction is over and Basiliska has time to find the little book thieves´ folks so I can rat on them. I can´t do it myself because I have to keep a hawk´s eye on the books with all the unsavory people that will be lurking and meandering in the surroundings.

Venga, Mildiu, no te lo tomes a mal. Basilisca quería celebrar la subasta en el salón de actos de la biblioteca para hacerla más respetable pero yo he tenido que prohibírselo porque no puedo consentir que haya gente dentro del edificio. Ni siquiera quiero gente en el jardín, así que tendrá que celebrar la subasta en el parking que hay al otro lado de la valla que he construído. Me ha pedido un cartel bonito con algo elegante y apropiado escrito en él, preferiblemente en latín, y yo no quiero desilusionarla. De todas formas te voy a soltar en cuanto termine la subasta y Basilisca pueda ocuparse de buscar a los parientes de estos ladronzuelos de libros para que yo les pueda acusar. No puedo hacerlo yo mismo porque tengo que vigilar los libros cual halcón su presa con toda esa gentuza que habrá serpenteando y merodeando por este lugar.
