English Country Gardens and Spanish Patios.

This is a draft. We have very little time right now and our proofreader is still in Shangri-La. He says he needs it. This post is going to be about Señora Estrella´s plants. Meanwhile:

Here´s a classic English folksong about English country gardens in Spring.

How many kinds of sweet flowers grow
In an English country garden?
We´ll tell you now of some that we know
Those we miss you´ll surely pardon
Daffodils, heart´s ease and phlox
Meadowsweet and lily stalks
Gentian, lupin and tall hollyhocks
Roses, foxgloves, snowdrops, forget-me-nots
In an English country garden.

Genciana, lupina y altas malvarrosas

How many insects come here and go
In an English country garden?
We´ll tell you now of some that we know
Those we miss you´ll surely pardon
Fireflies, moths and bees
Spiders climbing in the trees
Butterflies drift in the gentle breeze
There are snakes, ants that sting
And other creeping things
In an English country garden

How many songbirds fly to and fro
In an English country garden?
We´ll tell you now of some that we know
Those we miss you´ll surely pardon
Bobolink, cuckoo and quail
Tanager and cardinal
Bluebird, lark, thrush and nightingale
There is joy in the spring
When the birds all start to sing
In an English country garden
Robin! Don´t forget the robin!

Tordo arrocero, cuco y codorniz
Tanagero y cardenal
¡Petirrojo! ¡No olvidéis al petirrojo!

Once upon a time two lovers were strolling near a rushing river. The young man saw some pretty flowers growing near a rock that was almost in the water. He wanted to give them to the girl and tried to get them, but he slipped and fell into the river. While the waters rapidly dragged him away to his death, he shouted something to the girl. What did he say
No, he didn´t say goodbye. He said the name of the blue flowers you can see on the left.
